What alternatives are there to the keyboard for entering data?

Today was cool. I hung out with my man Antoine from da Park Ridge. Actually, he's from the France. But he's stayin in Park Ridge, exchange student style, with the guy who owns my guitar store. So Antoine takes lessons with me. We hung out and watched Jaco and gypsy music, and then went up in the Ba Le sandwich shop and ate some badass food. And we also got coffee on Clark street.

Antoine had to be back up in the PR so I drove him to the train station. We missed his bus but fortunately Ceasefire was putting on a concert, a badass ragae band, so we hung out and watched that. It was in a vacant lot and the band got natural dub delay. Bad ass. Then Antoine jumped on the bus and I rolled back to the crib.

Arielle surprised me when I got back, because she got a new job! Whooooaaaahh! Bad ass again.

We ate some Mexican food at Riques and drank some wine.

Been really busy. The construction workers are right outside my window. Grr. On Saturday morning they blasted welding smoke into our bedroom. May their grandmothers be sodomized by tentacles...

No water this morning. No shower. Not hardcore enough to take aa cold one on a cold, rainy day.

Have to teach at 9:30 AM. Stupid early. Oh well.

Maxis is coming out with a game called 'Spore.' The following link is a video demo of a the game, from the makers of Sim City, the Sims, etc. Very open ended game where you create life forms from a cell and evolve them into sentient beings and then eventually colonize space. Crazy.

It takes a way long time to drive from Champaign to Chicago. Lame! Take the train! The Dan Ryan construction project sucks! They moved the Lakeshore drive exit so I was even later! Semi trucks should not weave in and out of traffic! Taking Ashland avenue all the way from 111th street is not a good reroute!

I sorta fixed the car seat. It still won't sit up all the way, since the teeth on the recliner mechanism were partially stripped off. But I did fix the forward backward motion aspect of the chair, so Arielle won't have to struggle to reach the pedals and I won't have to ride with the wheel in my nuts.

Watching Conan's Chicago episode #1. Mr. T showed Conan around town. The band is 'Cheap Trick.'

Went to the Blind Pig after WEFT and had some drinks with my dad. Good times. Now it's time to remove the seats from my car, eat a Monical's pizza and learn to play bass like Merle Travis plays guitar from a DVD. And run a splitter on the existing spigot on my parents house and then drag a hose out back. Apparently a spigot is unnecessary.

Oh yeah. I'm chillin at WEFT with my dad and the band that's playing on the air tonight. (http://www.myspace.com/bellcaster) Wireless internet on the laptop. Bad ass. I feel like a supa techie. I told the people in the band that I was their record label manager. That was mean. But they were gracious and laughed anyway.

In useful news, the Dan Ryan construction will add approx. 30 minutes to the Chicago - Champaign commute if you do it at non rush hour times. Hopefully the return trip will be similar.

We ate tons of SUSHI tonight at KAMAKURA. The yummiest part was the roe. Then we had green tea ice cream that was wrapped in some sort of rice paste. Whoa.

I was sad because Tom Paynter wasn't doing his show before my dad's show as he usually is. I wanted to see him. Maybe I can catch up with him next time I come down here.

I do miss the Paign... its so nice in the spring.

Tomorrow I will take all the seats out of my car and FIX THEM. That means the front seat won't have to recline all the way back all the time, and the back seat won't eat a hole in your pants when you sit on it.

I will also install a spigot in the front yard for my mother.
